I am driven to help individuals and institutions achieve organizational excellence by moving mindsets from 'Compliance' to 'Community'™, while bringing a wealth of experience and insights to the table. Throughout my career, I have worn several hats, including roles as a K–12 special education teacher, a senior consultant advising government agencies on DEIA strategic plans, and an entrepreneur focusing on the importance of DEIA in our present and future workplace.

My professional and personal journey has often placed me as the first person of color, the only person of color, or the youngest person in the room—sometimes all three simultaneously. As a person with a disability, I recognize the power of inclusion and the importance of equipping others with the tools to overcome obstacles. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in the pursuit of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In addition to my professional endeavors, my domestic and international travels have further enriched my perspective. I believe that the world is a book, and I actively seek to explore its diverse pages, drawing insights from my experiences in Canada, China, the Caribbean, and Europe. Marrying into a multicultural family of Middle Eastern descent and raising three ethnic children has deepened my appreciation for diverse cultures, prompting me to learn Arabic and embrace the unique aspects of Arab heritage.
